It was on that year when two architects, Mr. Ghaleb M. Chkaiban and Mr. Farid Al Kufaishi, decided to join their young and promising knowledge, talent, guts, and determination, armed only with their attestation as top-notch, qualified, and professional architects, and with their will and courage, it was them who gave life to what is now known today as "ARDENT DECORATION" and "ARDENT CONSULTING OFFICE," or simply "ARDENT".

However, because of the conflicts in Lebanon, they decided to move their head office to Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., though short-lived; for two years Ardent—Lebanon had already enjoyed the respect and recognition in their respective fields.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the year 1975 is the new and permanent home of the ARDENT OFFICE. Building construction was not so much in demand during the first two to four years in the Emirates. During those years, Ardent concentrated on making designs, research, and studying the environmental, climatic, cultural, Islamic, and industrial needs of Emirates to enable them to achieve their goals in providing and sharing with the people of the emirates a kind of expertise in the world of building construction and interior decoration in keeping a respected concept, rather an architectural concept, and interior designs purely to the pride of the local inhabitants in keeping a character of personalized Arabic architecture.

In the middle of the eighties, when Ardent felt that the Gulf state is no longer a recipient of advice to know what to do or not do for their projects and activities from foreign experts, Ardent decided to go for full operation in consultancy, design, supervision, and interior decoration, with the main objective to bring back the essential target—keeping and enhancing an Arabic architecture identity.

Design and Supervision of government and private villas in the U.A.E. catered 70% of our projects, and 30% comes from commercial institution. And, because of the rapid growth and expansion of Abu Dhabi, and the ever-increasing demand of high- rise commercial buildings, and the glamour of new designs for villas, our projects received in the last part of the eighties and early nineties, were double compared to the previous years.

Ardent realized then that, their small office at Electra Road is no longer sufficient to cope up with the multitude of projects they are handling, and in 1986, Ardent decided to move their Head Office at Zayed the 1st street (formerly Khalidiya street) occupying half of the second floor of Sheikha Hasah Bint Mohd. Al Nahayan Building. Ardent's services however, did not stop in Abu Dhabi alone, they have established branch office in Al Ain as part of their expansion program. At the same time to meet the increasing demands of the modern day, for specialization in each field and also to further expand our business activities, Ardent opened its new wing "Ardent Decoration Works”, specializing in the field of Interior design execution.
